# Comments

A line comment starts with `//`. It carries no meaning, and tools keep it.

A `///` comment documents the declaration that follows it. Editors, the
generated documentation and the library catalogue show it.

Comments in other languages' styles, `#` and `/* */`, are
`syntax.comment_style`. Its edit rewrites them with `//`, or with `///` for
a `/** */` comment.
