# `jadpo calls`

Show provider calls in dev.

Lists the provider calls `jadpo dev` made (area 17), oldest first: each call's id, its operation, where its answer came from (generated, scripted or sandbox), how it ended, how long it took and its request. Calls are faked unless a connection's `development: { sandbox: }` lets them through to the provider's sandbox. `show` prints one call in full, what was sent and what came back, never a credential; `script` sets the next answer of an operation `jadpo dev` fakes: one of its failures by its code, or `unavailable`, `lost`, `in_use` or `misconfigured`. The log keeps the last 500 calls in build/dev/, which is never committed.

```text
jadpo calls [action] [call] [answer]
```

## Arguments

- `action` (optional): What to do: list, show or script
- `call` (optional): The call's id for show; the operation for script
- `answer` (optional): The next answer, for script

## Flags

- `--connection <connection>`: List only this connection's calls
- `--operation <operation>`: List only this operation's calls
- `--request <id>`: List only the calls this request made

## On every command

- `--json`: Print data for tools instead of text
- `--help`: Show every flag, with examples
- `--color <when>`: Choose when to use colour

`jadpo calls --json` writes one JSON document to standard output instead of text, with the same exit code. The document has `schemaVersion`, `command` (`"calls"`), `ok`, `data` (what the command produced, `null` when it failed) and `diagnostics` (each error with its `rule`, `reason`, `next` and `help`). A command that needs a terminal refuses `--json` and names the flags that do the same job.

## Examples

```text
# See the calls the app made
jadpo calls
# See what one call sent and what came back
jadpo calls show call_31
# Make the next payment's card declined
jadpo calls script stripe.payment_intents.create card_declined
```
