# Where data is stored

Each store is one database in one place. Data that must stay in the EU
lives in a deployment whose stores are in the EU. An app serving several
regions runs one deployment per region ([Stores](stores.md)).

There is no region setting in source. Instead, the report lists each
store with the configuration setting that says where it is.
