Commands – Jadpo

Every jadpo command, what it does and how to run it.

The jadpo command

You work with Jadpo through one command, jadpo, and a short list of subcommands.

Command	What it does
`jadpo new`	Start a project.
`jadpo check`	Check the project for errors.
`jadpo fmt`	Format source files.
`jadpo test`	Run tests.
`jadpo build`	Build the app to deploy.
`jadpo dev`	Run the app and reload on every save.

Commands for looking into and changing code

These commands show you what your code does: its routes, the SQL its queries send, and what a prompt sends a model.

Command	What it does
`jadpo routes`	List every route.
`jadpo sql`	Show the SQL a query or action sends.
`jadpo ai`	Show prompts, record, usage.

Commands for the database, settings and translations

These commands change what sits beside your code: the database's migrations, your local settings, and the wording of your app in each language.

Command	What it does
`jadpo migrate`	Write and apply migrations.
`jadpo seed`	Fill the development database from a seed.
`jadpo config`	Check and set local settings.
`jadpo translations`	Keep translations up to date.

Commands for records, findings and review

Some files in your project are records: files Jadpo writes for you to commit, such as the record of your public API, which a reviewer reads in a pull request (Review and records).

Command	What it does
`jadpo api`	Rewrite the API records.
`jadpo records`	List and update the records.
`jadpo acceptance`	Draft a person's acceptance.
`jadpo approval`	Explain a change, decisions first.
`jadpo declines`	List or clear declines.
`jadpo fix`	Fix a standard type's finding.
`jadpo suggest`	Hint where a standard type or operation fits.

Commands for background work

These commands are for an operator: the person who looks after a running app.

Command	What it does
`jadpo flags`	Change and remove flags.
`jadpo schedules`	Watch and control schedules.
`jadpo deliveries`	Retry, dismiss or cancel deliveries.

Commands for packages

A package is code you install rather than write: a library, or a provider package that calls an outside service such as Stripe (External services).

Command	What it does
`jadpo package`	Show, check, import and install packages.

Commands for services, calls, email and stored data

These commands show what your app sent outside while you develop it, the provider calls and the email, and check a deploy before it happens.

Command	What it does
`jadpo calls`	Show provider calls in dev.
`jadpo email`	Read the dev inbox and check mail.
`jadpo runs`	Check runs before a deploy.

Commands for debugging, editors and help

jadpo why <schedule> ends with the schedule's .jadpo place, and takes --json (Watching schedules).

`jadpo lsp`	Run the language server for editors.
`jadpo help`	Show commands, flags and examples.
`jadpo completions`	Turn on Tab completion.
`jadpo version`	Print the version.
`jadpo toolchain`	Manage Jadpo releases.
