Comments

A line comment starts with //. It carries no meaning, and tools keep it.

A /// comment documents the declaration that follows it. Editors, the generated documentation and the library catalogue show it.

Comments in other languages' styles, # and /* */, are syntax.comment_style. Its edit rewrites them with //, or with /// for a /** */ comment.
